Streets in Colour

Having grown up and lived most my life in East London I am privileged to share my stomping ground with some of the great street photographers of all time from David Bailey to Dorothy Bolm. The appeal to street photography in London and the East End is the people and the diversity of cultures. All of life can be witnessed in this global city.
Traditionally street photographers have worked in black and white. Saul Leiter was one of the first to break the trend with his bold and bright New York shots. Nowadays the tide is starting to turn with more and more street photographers choosing to shoot in colour and why not! With colourful characters and wonderful street art covering the capital sometimes colour really is the best option.
